Be2 is not weak!,just like in the Sicilian Scheveningen it's deceptively strong,preparation for King side Attack,well anticipated by Carlsen,a brilliant game strategy by the world champ! |

If I were Black I would be thinking, "How can I make my light-bishop the best minor piece on the board?". JMHO... |

One good bet seems to be that his move relates either to: some sort of positional gain goal like effective outpost, long term protected passed pawn, or control of invasion capable file or diagonal. Or some sort of restrictive move that hampers opportunities for an opponents piece. Especially N or B or pawn push or break. Or setting up or setting off some sort of combination that cashes in on his positional advantage. One thing I like to do is watch Carlsen's blitz videos and try to guess his upcoming moves. |
