offramp: The great User: Cagnus Marlsen kibitzed once. It's a case of quality and not quantity.

An Englishman: Good Evening: Doesn't 11.exf6,Qxf4; 12.fxg7,Qf6; 13.gxh8/Q,Qxh8 win immediately?

piltdown man: Poor game, but a good pun. What a great name that lady has!

Yep, as does <13.Bxe5>. Black later sac’d the exchange unnecessarily when simply <25...Qb6> would have won quickly.

Such a poor quality game rammed full of blunders (the last being missing <47...Re2#>!). The only real point of interest was Black’s unusual tactic of using the first 6 moves to get all her pawns onto light squares.

In tiddlywinks that would win, but not in ludo.

Teyss: That's the kind of game between a non-rated player https://ratings.fide.com/profile/16... and a player rated around 1500 at the time https://ratings.fide.com/profile/16... In that event Christella Rugabira scored +1 -7 =1 and Baby Edna Mission +1 -7 =0.

The pun is a quote from the movie "Dirty Dancing". How appropriate. (Sorry a bit mean but couldn't resist.)

Jul-23-24  watwinc: <goodevans> How does 13 Bxe5 win?
Jul-23-24  goodevans: <watwinc> Oops! I meant <13.Nxe5>.

13.Bxe5 was the move that was actually played and didn't achieve anything much. After the much better <13.Nxe5> Black can't recapture 13...Nxe5 because then 14.Qd4 wins the pinned N and more.

I was in a rush this morning - had to check out of our holiday accommodation. That's my excuse. I wonder what White's was.

OhioChessFan: Nice pun, mediocre game, I'll take it.
