Apr-26-15  1d410: Modern players have their team and help squads, but GK is just raw talent. A true individual...

chancho: Gazza has employed seconds in his matches.

In fact, he had a young dude named Vladimir Kramnik working for him in his match against Anand in 1995.

Apr-26-15  apexin: As Kasparow once said, allowing the rook sacrifice on c3 implies a lack of chess culture.
Apr-27-15  fisayo123: Kasparov'ed.
Apr-29-15  Jambow: Just a little reminder of how good he really was. Garry has a romantic style with modern depth. Man to have seen him and the kid match up at their peaks. I think if Kasparov came back he would get to the #2 spot with haste.

I now want a Nakamura Kasparov blitz showdown.

Apr-29-15  PJs Studio: Id really like to see a Kasparov Carlsen match

ASAP!

Penguincw: I'd like to see a Kasparov-Anand match (and keep going down the list of Kasparov's WCC opponent; there's been Kasparov-Karpov, then Kasparov-Short, Kasparov-Anand, Kasparov-Kramnik?).

Anyway, 38...Bd7 was a great move. It shows how strong Kasparov's position was, and that he would rather hang on to the bishop pair than grab the exchange back.
