Jul-20-18  technical draw: Duda draws.
Jul-20-18  WorstPlayerEver: PS however, White played 36. Nhf5 instead. Gentleman move or a message to Rudy.
Jul-20-18  Ulhumbrus: One idea which I don't expect white to allow is ...Qh4 and..Bg4 followed by ...Rxe7, ...Qh2+ and ...Qh1 mate
Jul-20-18  Marmot PFL: Seems like the white knights did whatever they wanted while black never coordinated his bishops. After an active opening Black made some passive middle game moves like 28...Bb8 and 31...Bd7.
Jul-20-18  technical draw: Black would have to give up the exchange too get rid of the powerful knight on e7.
Jul-20-18  WorstPlayerEver: This must be one of of K's worst positions ever.

  chessgames.com: We'll switch to Giri-Wojtaszek in just a minute.
Jul-20-18  Marmot PFL: Now maybe people will remember how to spell his name.
Jul-20-18  technical draw: I love to see the dancing rook! Cheers to the designer.
Jul-20-18  Ulhumbrus: Considering the trouble which the threats of Ne4 and c5 may have given to Kramnik, can one suggest an alternative for Black at any point? One alternative to 14...Qxd6 is 14...cxd6 so that after ...f6 and ...Ng6 the knight can go to e5. Then if White does not play Nxe5, Black has the option of the manoeuvre ...Ne5-d7-c5 blockading the white c pawn.
Jul-20-18  whiteshark: <Advantageous ♗♗> So much for that.
Jul-20-18  ChessHigherCat: <technical draw: <This guy is having a good laugh at the current position: http://www.chessgames.com/chessimag...

<More like a devilish smile than a laugh.>

That's the photo where he looks exactly like Jim Carey in "The Cable Guy"

Jul-20-18  WorstPlayerEver: Nice try, but he can do much better.

Jul-20-18  ChessHigherCat: He actually hired Nepo as a stuntman for this one:

Jul-20-18  nok: Bb8? I'd rather resign
Jul-20-18  cormier: Stockfish 9 9... Ba7 <better is 9...exd4> 10.cxd4 Bb6 11.Nbd2 O-O 12.Nc4 Bg4 13.Nxb6 = +0.21 (29 ply)

PawnSac: < offramp: Can we have a vote? Who prefers Offramp’s method and who prefers Ulhumbrus’s’s’ss? >

I prefer just to remember "Nepo" like Nemo in "finding Nemo". Then i go to the front page in the Advanced Search and go "finding Nepo" and let CG spell it, then click on it. That way I only have to remember 4 letters.

Jul-20-18  ajile: Beautiful game by Nepo. The 2 White knights totally squish the 2 Black bishops.
Jul-20-18  WorstPlayerEver: I assume Nepo was inspired by this video:

HeMateMe: youth will be served, as they say.
Jul-20-18  Atking: I still think that Black was ok with 17...c6. A pawn down is little if Bishops enjoy open lines.
Jul-21-18  abstract: Kramnik has here the worst black bishop I his career..
Jul-22-18  Everett: A good example of the domination of one piece that decides the game.
Jul-23-18  ChessHigherCat: <Ulhumbrus: Kramnik may have omitted in some way to anticipate the positional threat of 20 c5 putting his king's bishop out of play. If there was something which he did not see in time we can only guess what it was.>

If 20. Bxc5?? Ne4! forking the queen and bishop and preventing Qd6
