Dec-19-21  CivilDisobedience: why White resigns?

fredthebear: White won in 13 moves. This result should be 1-0. Correction submitted.

Nice one <fredthbear> and in your slip you also supplied the Jose Seknadje player link from 365Chess.

Here is the game score from 365Chess: https://www.365chess.com/game.php?g...

fredthebear: Easy peasy search. I did check the tournament standings as usual, to be sure it was posted 1-0 there. Given that Black's last two moves were blunders, and a second knight sacrifice would be unsuccessful, that was enough sourcing for me.

Good service <JFQ>.

We could use some more games, information on Gabor Kadas. He might be more interesting than his biography let's on. Somewhere I have read that he was rather potent with 1.h4. (1.h4 is not to be recommended; it essentially gives away White's first-move advantage of seizing the center to play as Black.)

Here's one that started very similar to the game above (reversed Scandinavian of sorts):

Kadas, Gabor vs Nagy

I'm just a bear looking for chocolate, nuts, berries, and mates. What do I know about posting entire games?

In Canada the bears are always looking for "mates" so you really need to steer clear of them... if you catch my drift....

Can you post the source where you found this game?

Then we could ask in the Bio Bistro if anyone can help us find out the event or the site. If they cannot be found, we can still publish the game with year only. If the Year field is not filled in the game will not process.

Luckily you have the year...

I can't speak for other editors, but I don't publish games without a source listed. At the very least, something that says where the uploader found the game score.

fredthebear: Good Kadas information is not easy to find.

* Game source: https://chess.gallery/game/gabor-ka...

* Game was played in Kecskemét, 1982 according to a foreign site on 1.h4: https://zpravy.sachy.cz/2021/03/03/...

* Chess Tempo has a lot of Kadas games, but not the Nagy game.

* 1.h4 has multiple names: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Despr... The Shuffleduck?!

* We are NOT looking for GM Gabor Nagy nor GM Gabor Kallai.
