offramp: The simple 20.g3 wins a piece.
May-21-05  Catfriend: <offramp> maybe he didn't want the complications arising after 20.g3 Nh3+ 21.Kg2 Nhf4+ 23.gxf4 Nxf4+ ?

Gypsy: While 20.g3 would win a piece, White is not well prepared to defend his K-side after the g-file opens. Since Zukertort was already poised to win the Bb7 on the other wing, he opts for a safer course of action.

Oct-19-15  Knight13: 31. Nd1, 47. Rh4 and 51. Nh6 are stronger alternatives.
