Fusilli: Roberto Grau wrote what was the most popular chess book ever written by an Argentine, at least as of the time I was a kid. I think the title was "Tratado General de Ajedrez". Four tomes, and I devoured it.

Here he violates all the basics of development, which he clearly outlines in the book! ... Moves his queen, for no clear reason, before moving pieces, wastes time to exchange the dark-square bishop, and breaks with ...c5 before being ready for it. White only needed to make natural moves.

fredthebear: All Black tries come up short in the final position.

If 23...BxRd3 24.NxRd8.
If 23...RxRd3 24.cxRd3.
If 23...Rf8 24.Rd1.
If 23...Kf8 24.Rxb7.
If 23...Nd5 24.NxRd8 NxRe7 25.Rd7.

In all cases, White is winning.
