  plang: 13..Rg8 was new; more usual is 13..b5. Anand thought that a better continuation for White would have been 17 Bxe8..Kxe8 18 g4..Ne7 19 Rg1 with some initiative. An alternative would have been 24 Rb1..b6 25 Rg1..Rxa2 26 Rxg7..Rxg7 27 Qxg7+..Qxg7 28 Nxe6+ although Black seems OK here. 27 Qb1..Qa4 28 Rg6..Nxg6 29 hxg+..Ke8 30 Nxe6..Qb3 31 Nc7+..Kd8 32 Nxd5..a5 would have been good for Black.
