Oct-18-06  outplayer: 39.Bg6 is elegant. Probably Adams decided to sacrifice the exchange because f5-bishop is very dangerous. Could someone use Rybka or Fritz 9 to calculate the consequences of 28.Ra1?
Aug-11-18  tigreton: 28. Nd2 is better than 28. Ra1, at least from a practical point of view, being a rook or a knight up doesn't really matter in this position, more important is to control e4 and the rest of light squares, from now on white light square bishop would be a monster.
