Oct-01-06  Knight13: Why draw? Black should've played on.

23...Qxb3 24. Qxd4+ Kg8 25. Qxd6 a5 ... and push the pawn down. At least it's a try.

23...Qxb3 24. Qxb3 wins for White.

To me it looks very drawish with something like 23...Rd2 24. Rxd2 Qxd2 25. Qxd4+ Qxd4 26. Rxd4 Rd8 27. Ra4, etc.

Oct-01-06  Knight13: Okay. My rating just dropped down to 100. Thanks a lot! LOL. :p
Nov-26-07  InspiredByMorphy: Morphy played 12.c3 . It is interesting to not only see the difference in how white handles this opening in this game, but that Black plays this weak line. Didn't Steinitz look over Morphy's games, or just read Lowenthal's note? LOL.
