offramp: Alapin, perhaps half asleep, played 15...Nf5

But that left his queen unprotected. Burn leapt in with 16.Ne5 and Nxf7 and Bxf7+, followed by Qh5+ and Qxh7 - and things looked bad for poor Alapin after 25.Rfe1

25...Qh8! 26.Ne5+!

But Alapin had the sang-froid to steer the position into this rook ending, after 38...Rd8:

That is level, and so it stayed.

dernier loup de T: Thank you offramp; it seems however Burn could get better chances for a win by choosing the other way of check at move 32: after Rf7+!?, the black King must let the poor pawn e5 been eaten by White: 32.. Kg5 (forced) and now 33.Rd5 and the pinned pawn is lost.
Jun-17-19  Straclonoor: I wanna add some more - 23.Rad1 goes to win for white.
