Honza Cervenka: There is no reasonable defence against 21.Rh3 with next Qh5. If 20...Rg8, then 21.Qxg6. If 20...Qe8, then 21.Rh3 and black cannot play 21...Rg8 for 22.Rxh7+ Kxh7 23.Qh5#. Also 20...Qe8 21.Rh3 h6 22.Bxh6 leads to quick mate.
Feb-06-09  YoungEd: You're right, <Honza Cervenka>. It's amazing how quickly Black's position became so helpless. Perhaps his c6 and f6 moves are largely to blame.
Nov-13-09  WhiteRook48: I had 21 Rh3 with next 22 Qh4 with best continuation 22...h6 23 Nxg7 Kxg7 24 Qxh6+ Kg8 25 Qh7#
Sep-07-11  pinknipple: How to answer 8.a4 by black

PaulPetrovitj: Yes, pinknipple, that is a crucial point: best is considered 8. a4 Nd4! (recommended by Schlechter) creating an unusual position where Black has two Ns on e4 and d4 supported by Pawns on d5 and e5. Even 8.-, b4 is better than -, Bb7. The B on a8 will be totally passive, especially after the later move -, c6. Another unfortunate choice was Black playing Nc6-e7 delaying his development. Cervenka has explained the final position and why Black resigned.
