May-15-04  vonKrolock: according to NICbase on-line, this game was played in Hastings, December 28th, 1925; presumabilly in the first round (there's a number (1)), between EDGAR Colle and David Janowski - note: in fact was the 1925/26 Congress, or briefly "1926", as became a convention in the gamesbases; the doubtous point is this initial "H" Colle (there are two games from the forties (Colle versus Hein and another against Tartakower- as Edgar Colle died in 1932, so... by the way, who is or was H Colle?! (the google search give no answer)
Jun-30-04  Javid Danowski: <vonKrolock> H Colle (at least in H Colle vs Tartakower, 1949) sholud be H H Cole (given as H Cole in a few games on chessgames .com). He was a British player of just below master strength and was active from about the end of the First World War until the 1950's or thereabouts. Who E Colle in E Colle vs Hein, 1941 was I have no idea.
