Jul-10-19  DanLanglois: It seems, that 13. Ne2 is a TN in this game from the nineties. It certainly has been seen since, but looking this up, I think it hadn't been seen before this game. Also, Black mishandled it with his immediate reply..

Looking at this:

13...Nh5? 14.Ng3 Nf4 15.h4 and Black is in a word of hurt.

It seems that 13...Ne8 is necessary. I won't pretend I haven't plugged the question into my chess engine. And compare this 2015 22 move draw, which has 13...Ne8:
