Justly so! It's not every day that we are treated to a win of material via back rank mate threat at this reduced stage of the game.

Tabanus: Evening Telegraph - Friday 04 January 1946:

<Instead of playing his game at the Hastings Chess Congress, Dr. W. Euwe, of Amsterdam, the former champion of the world, to-day went to Southampton to see his sister, who is on her way home after four years as a prisoner in a Japanese internment camp in Java. She arrived in the liner New Amsterdam and it had been arranged for Dr. Euwe to see her on board. He will return to Hastings to play in the 6th round to-morrow, and his 7th round game with Mr. E. G. Sergeant (England) will be played on Sunday.>

Which is why this game is dated Jan. 5 (and not Jan. 3).
