Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-14-15  zydeco: Geller miscalculated something in the forcing variations around move 20.

I think 20.Nxb4 is forced and after 20....Nxb4 21.axb4 Qxb4 22.Rxe8 Rxe8 23.h3 (as a sample line), white is suffering but alive. Even 22.Rb1 Bxf3 23.Bxf7+ Kxf7 24.Rxb4 Re1+ 25.Qf1 Rxf1+ 26.Kxf1 Ba8 27.Rxb6 Bxd4 should be a draw.

20.Nxb6 doesn't work: e.g. 20....Nxd4 21.Nxd4 Bxd4 22.Red1 Qxb6 23.Qxd4 Re1+!

Maybe Geller had planned 22.Nb5 and missed 22....Bxa1 23.Rxa1 Qe5! (Or 23.Rxe8 Rxe8 24.Nxd6 Re1+ 25.Qf1 Rxf1+ 26.Kxf1 Bxb3 winning a piece.)

If 22.Nf3 Bxa1 23.Rxa1 Qf6 is the same idea.
