  al wazir: 20. Kd2 Red8 (20...Nd5 21. a3) 21. Kc1 Nd5 22. Kb2 holds for white.
Aug-31-13  Tim Delaney: I think White is in trouble after 5. ... Bxc3. If he recaptures with the b pawn, as in the text, the c4 pawn is left in the lurch. If he recaptures with the d Pawn, the B at c1 is a major problem. White might be able to equalize, but that ought not to be his aim so early in the game.

Check It Out: Is that a Dr. Seuss reference?
Aug-31-13  Aniara: The Heart is a Lonely Hunter really took me aback when I read it a few years ago. Read it! It is time well spent. Great pun.
Aug-31-13  Abdel Irada: <al wazir>: On 20. Kd2?!, Ne5 (Δ ...c5) 21. a4 (21. a3?, c5 ), Nc4† 22. Kc1, c5 .

As of move 20, White is already much worse. In particular, the bishop petrified on b4 is a vulnerability that will not soon be banished. I don't think anything "holds" for him at this point.

Aug-31-13  Abdel Irada: <Check It Out: Is that a Dr. Seuss reference?>

No. That would be "Hort Hears a Who."

Domdaniel: Is this one of my puns? I've forgotten, but it sounds familiar. Weirdly, the advert currently showing on this page is "check your heart".
Aug-31-13  kevin86: White will olose at least a pawn...
Aug-31-13  Abdel Irada: <Weirdly, the advert currently showing on this page is "check your heart".>

In the presence of GoogleAnalytics, I think this is not so odd.

  al wazir: <Abdel Irada: 20. Kd2?! Ne5 21. a4 Nc4† 22. Kc1 c5 23. Ba3 Rxa4 24. Bb2 Nxb2 25. Kxb2 Rxa1 26. Rxa1. Black is a ♙ up, but as white I'd play on a few more moves.
Sep-01-13  Abdel Irada: <al wazir>: After 24. Bb2, Black does not play 24. ...Nxb2 but 24. ...Rxa1† 25. Bxa1, Ra8 26. Bb2, Ra2, winning a piece.

I'm convinced.
