  fredthebear: Stockfish says castling by White 12.0-0 was a mistake. Instead 12.e4 was best (11.Qc4 was also better for White.)

  perfidious: This was regarded as a tricky line, with the verdict of Dame Theory in the 1980s in those pre-computer days being the typically helpful 'unclear', so far as I recall.

Used to play 4.....Ba6 myself back then, but never faced 5.Qa4 and do not recall what I had prepared.
