I'm not sure Korchnoi was best or felt very comfortable in the often closed, static, somewhat cramped positions that can happen with the Pirc and Dragon. Seemed he more preferred open lines openings even at the cost of weaker pawn structure and maybe had better results. Relative to the ability of his opponent, of course.
