May-06-05  senorito: Gosh... i dont get this game.. black just suddenly quits.
May-06-05  Shams: note the move number...black almost certainly flagged trying to find a way to defend.
May-10-05  bambino3: black is in zugswang
Aug-01-05  wonderboymyth: Zugzwang for black, meanwhile threat is 39.hxg5 Qxg5 40.Qxg5+ Kxg5 41.Nxd6 Rxd6 42.Rxb7
Aug-01-05  iron maiden: Would Black have done better to exchange rooks on move 29?
Aug-01-05  IT4LICO: It is rare to see a zugswang position with so many pieces on the board, but every pawn is blocked (or pinned, like f5 black pawn), and black pieces defend each other so can't move without problems, very nice end!
Jan-30-06  OKKarpovisgreat: Hey! What in the world is this
QUANTUM LEAP in young Gazz's
positional play?? This looks like
the fully developed Garry already!
Apr-27-09  porgue: steroids
Aug-15-10  birthtimes: puberty...big-time changes occurring...
Jan-26-15  MrJafari: Also Black lost, but I was affected by his/her defense!
Oct-29-15  Reavvan: haha so many people get confused because of sudden quit, hey grandmasters don't be selfish!!if you think you will lose please keep on playing at leat the game is clear for people who will win
Oct-30-15  ToTheDeath: Well played Lopez by Garry. It's true, Black is completely paralyzed in the final position. Total domination.
Feb-08-18  RKnight: One might think that it is not a true Zugzwang because of 38...Qd8, but Gary would then have had a great combination: 39 Rxb7 R(b8)xb7, 40 Rc8 Qxc8, 41 Qxg5+ Kh7, 42 Qg7#
Apr-28-20  genjigloveoffering: I have an old book on Kasparov from Edouard Goufeld 1984 where the author says the game ended by black in zeitnot blundering 38...Nc5? 39.bxc5
Apr-28-20  Demian: In the first 17 moves white moved his bishop six times, only for it to end up on its starting square!
