Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-22-05  Corwin: the final position is very pretty, black can't hang to meterial.
Sep-18-10  whiteshark: This game was part of a clock simultan against the Bundesliga-team of Hamburg (HSV) which Kasparov won with 7:1. This is board 1 game.

Kind of revenge as he'd lost against this team in 1985 with 3.5:4.5

Sep-18-10  whiteshark: Final position

Threat is 26.Rxd6. If <25...Ra7> then 26.Qxe5. An obviously Ra8 can't clear the a-file.

Sep-18-10  whiteshark: Here you can see how 'hot for revenge' Kasparov actually was. He'd prepaired <17.b4> as improvement to a game Stein played the year before against Farago.
