Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-16-07  crisP: What if 30.fxg4? What would be the finish?
Sep-16-07  mallocks: I let Rybka ponder 30.fxg4 for a while

23-ply (5.09) 30...Qxg4+ 31.Kf1 Qh3+ 32.Kg1 Rb5 33.Nc5 Bf4 34.Bd4+ e5 35.Qd3 Qh2+ 36.Kf1 Bg3 37.Qe4

At 18-ply it gave the position following 30.Bd4 a much lower score for black (1.83), so it seems the played line was the better one.

Sep-22-07  crisP: Thanks Mallocks!
Jun-26-12  tonsillolith: In the King's Indian Defense usually Black's dark-squared bishop works best on the main diagonal, but here Kasparov's bishop works well on a smaller diagonal.
