Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-08-05  lopium: I couldn't play trought the Kasparov's moves... The 24.Bd2 was a genius move, the Rook seems to have an open files, but in reality can't go nowhere... could have been maybe a draw with Re1..Bd2, etc...
Oct-08-05  Happypuppet: Why not 38. Re8+ ? Either perpetual (...Kg7 Re7+ Kg8 Re8+ Kg7 etc.) or Black plays 38... Bf8, followed by 39. Rexf8+ Kg7 40. Rf7+ Kh6 41. Rf1 Rxd5. Here material is even... is the end position positionally lost for Black?
Oct-08-05  HUchess: There is no perpetual check, and black can keep his bishop. 38 Re8+ Kg7 39. Re7+ Kh8 40. Re8+ Rg8

Dec-29-10  Edoneill: A good way to counter a 6. f4 push by white.
May-01-17  Rishabh Semwal: 8 a3. is a very nice trap set by Short. If Q*d4 then Be3 traps the Queen. It is very effective in blitz or bullet games.

ChessHigherCat: <Rishabh Semwal> Thanks for explaining, I wondered about that. It's also hard to understand why white chose to give away the B with 32. Bxf3, but I think if 32. Bd3 then Ng4 with the threats of Nf2+ or Rh6 with very strong mating threats. Is that right?
