Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-16-04  InspiredByMorphy: With move 19.c5 its lights out.
Aug-27-04  ruylopez900: <IBM> Yes, though Larsen himself says that the previous move 18.c4 is actually the beginning of the won game or "Quite decisive" in his own words.

Other comments by Larsen are that this game unexpectedly won a prize of one of two best games of the tournament much to his surprise. He also thought this was a pathetic way to decline the gambit.

perfidious: The idea 5.fxe5 dxe5 6.Qa4+ had long since put 4....Bg4 out of business, so it surprises me to see how often it was played after this game: Marshall vs E Cohn, 1907.
Feb-08-19  edubueno: 7...Cc6 es un error.

  plang: 9 Bc4 had been played with success 4 times previously; 9 Be2 was new. 11..Bxa3 12 Bxa3..Qxa3 13 bxc..Bxc6 14 Nxe5..Qa415 Qxa4..Bxa4 16 Bc4..Nh6 17 0-0 would have been strong for White. 16..cxd would have been better and also 17..b6.
