plang: Great example of how the Kings Gambit can be played positionally. by using the Bishops Gambit (3 Bc4) Short bypasses the lines with an early g5 & g4.

wordfunph: "It would be nice to say that after making a thorough appraisal of my opponent's repertoire I noticed a hidden vulnerability to archaic openings. Alas my choice was made for some mundane reasons. I had a massive hangover and wanted to finish the game as quickly as possible."

- GM Nigel Short
