Mar-04-16  edubueno: Most probably Spassky had an improvement to the previous Korchnoi vs Pomar game. On that case white played 10 Ca4 - Ae7, 11 b3 - b5; 12 Cc3 - a6; 13 Ab2 - Tc8; 14 Dd3 - 0-0; 15 Tad1. I think that 11...d4 can be the better move.
Mar-04-16  edubueno: 34...Td1 equqalizes immediately

  kamajiro: Boris invincible !!
May-26-23  King.Arthur.Brazil: I cannot understand: Spassky has an free p at A7, then why didn't he play to win: a5! f5 for what? To help white? This is not a first time where clearly one sees him giving up to fight for win. I guess that 'soviet pressure' is something so boring and caustic, that he played to lose deliberately.
Feb-25-25  ZonszeinP: I guess that he was afraid of d6

offramp: If Spassky played 34...a5, then 35. Bd5 creates sudden threats of mate.
