Mar-23-11  variableplay: It seems that for white 23. Qe3 and 24. Re2 are poor moves. Korchnoi has then a really good play sequence with the isolated rook on d1. The black powerful crushing move 28. dxe4 is maybe permitted by previous white moves.
Mar-23-11  joupajou: Nice finish by Korchnoi, but 32.Ra2? surely was a mistake. 32.Rbc2!

Fine move, I guess... It seems that at least white equalize and black are in trouble. I have no computer to confirm but I'd like to know how black could play against this.

Fusilli: <variableplay> Hello? Still there? OK, so almost 14 years later, here's the answer. The computer gives:

32.Rbc2 Rd1+ 35.Kg2 Qa6 36.Rc4 Na5 37.Bxe4 Nxc4 38.bxc4 Rxc1 39.Qxc1 Qc8 and it's about equal.

The whole thing from 26...d5 on is crazy complicated, and white's only mistake was 32.Ra2, a blunder. Maybe he was short on time by then. I remember this Brazilian player often ended up in time trouble.
