LTJ

Jul-11-12  Petrosianic: You forgot to tell us the date it was played, LTJ.
Nov-15-13  davide2013: I saw the "wrong" analysis given by wordfunph in the poorly written: "mastering chess strategy" where this author: Hellsten tries to convince some people that actually strategy exists in chess (maybe one day he will discover that a common engine can calculate a checkmate in 20 moves in seconds without knowing anything about strategy, and I doubt 20 moves is within the horizon of the 99% of chessplayers) However, luckily I didn't buy the book because that analysis is wrong: 18...exd5; 19.Qxd5,Be6; and black doesn't get checkmated. I borrowed that book from the library, and found so many mistakes in the evaluation of the position, and his ideas, that I never passed reading 25-30 pages. That book is an example of the destruction of the forests for no good reasons. Let's hope the chess publishers pass soon most of these disappointing books in electronic format.

Computers don't play chess. Of course strategy exists in chess.

Jul-07-14  sorrowstealer: There are errors in most books and one should concentrate on the best part .What amazes me that he did not buy the book but having time here to criticize it!typical!

Must be he did not score so well, either, as he normally hurries to proclaim his genius by regaling us with how much above par he made in Guess the Move.

Jul-16-15  whiteshark: Worth looking at: Game Collection: "Mastering Chess Strategy" - Hellsten
