Apr-04-08  Knight13: <English, Symmetrical (A33)> More like a Maroczy Bind Sicilian in the Shvenigen (however you spell it) variation. Maybe pawn being on e3 instead of e4 tricked the system.
Apr-05-08  euripides: <knight> the Scheveningen typically doesn't have a Maroczy bind, but starts 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 e6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nf3 d6, making c4 impossible for the moment. Although I'm often rather surprised by the opening names above games I think this one is fair enough - d4 is a typical idea in the symmetrical English.
Feb-14-09  sillybilly47: ...18 Bc2. The next 2 moves by the Champ accomplish the same thing, but it is interesting that Spassky does not have much to offer in this game. I believe that Spassky was quite surprised by the loss in the previous game. Well,8 of 24 in the books, it should be 1-1.
