Dec-29-14  poorthylacine: It seems that 32...Kh7 will create amore difficult situation for White.
May-20-17  edubueno: Muy buena partida. BS resolvió el problema de las negras en la variante principal de la Nimzowitsch ganando el peón a4 y poniendo a las blancas a la defensiva.

woldsmandriffield: 32..Kh7!! would have been a brilliant coup. Black creates the threat of ..Qb3 and if White tries 33 Bxc4 Bxc4 34 Rxc4 then Spassky gains a vital tempo with 34..Qb1+ 35 Kh2 Rg5 In this position, Portisch can't cope with the triple problem of the passed a-pawn, King safety AND the loose Rc4. The best defence is 36 e5 (idea parrying with Rg4) h5! (denying the Rook access to g4) 37 f4 (37 h4 rg6 38 g4 Qe1 is hopeless) 37..Rxg2+! and after a series of checks Black picks up the Rc4 winning.
Dec-26-18  Howard: Oh? Could someone with proper silicon access please check this ? Sorry, I don't have it.
Dec-26-18  Messiah: <Howard> now I am going to the pub, but leaving the monster crunching that position.
Dec-26-18  Howard: Great!
Dec-27-18  Messiah: DISCLAIMER: copypasting an unexplained and uncommented engine output here will and could by no means qualify as 'analysis'. Trusting it blindly is a serious mistake - you have been warned. :)

Mateo: 32...Kh7!! wins according to computers but from the human point of view, even for Spassky, it is very difficult, if possible, to find it on the board, and as well Spassky was in zeitnot. I wonder if any commentator at the time saw this possibility without computer.
May-17-22  Granny O Doul: Tarjan, in Chess Life, suggested ...Rb5 there.
