  fredthebear: Well, 5...Qc7 is the Taimanov Sicilian: 1e4 c5 2.Nf3 e6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nc6 5.Nc3 Qc7.

Many players are willing to play crazy stuff to avoid the main lines but transpositions certainly are possible.

  perfidious: White's final move is telling: at one stroke, the guardian of Quinteros' dark squares, the one piece holding his game together, is removed from the fray, and his game collapses due to the lack of development and the threats against the king, with 25....Qd2 well met by 26.Rd1 as the final piece joins the fray.
