chessgames.com: Crafty's suicidal variation is a little unclear, but I think the point is that on 26.Bxc4 Black has ...Ra1+! 27.Kb2 Ra2+ etc.
Aug-26-04  aw1988: What if 26. Qb2?

  samvega: Qxe4+
Dec-31-04  aw1988: Bleh, thanks. I missed the Ra1+ deflection.
Dec-31-04  KibitzerX: after bxn, ra1+, kxa1,qxq white looks just fine to me w/ 2 rooks and two light pieces agianst a rook and a queen. He is losing a queen for 8 points and their are a quite a bit of pawns on the q side, but I think he sholud have played it out!
Dec-31-04  aw1988: Sorry, no. Black simply plays Ra8 and it's all over.
Mar-22-05  KibitzerX: <aw1988> "Sorry, no. Black simply plays Ra8 and it's all over."
