Sneaky: There is something comfortable about being down material while the opponent's king is exposed. Your plan is crystal clear: attack to the last man!
Jul-23-04  Jesuitic Calvinist: This game manages to fit in 2 archetypal anti-Sicilian themes (sacs on e6 and b5) in just 17 moves. In 22 moves, we might have got a sac on d5 as well.
Jul-23-04  Jesuitic Calvinist: And a king-side pawn storm.
Aug-02-15  kereru: Up to 14.Bxf6 it's actually standard Najdorf theory these days. 14...Nxf6? is now known to be losing.

thegoodanarchist: Isn't this the Kasparov Variation?

perfidious: Cafferty, in his work on Tal (1973), noted that 14....Nxf6 was bad for Black.
