Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-11-07  YouRang: Back-to-back blunders:

White just played 22. g5, attacking black's knight (diagram)

Here, black should play 22...Nh5, with a nice game. But, inexplicably, black opted for 22...Nd5? leaving his knight hung for white to play Rxd5 .

However, blindness also afflicted van Wely (white), as he moves to "save" his queen from the knight! 23. Qc1??

BTW, Black continued with 23...Nxf4 and a winning game, but could have ended it quicker with 23...Nd3!! (diagram)

This attacks the queen and double attacking the bishop on f4. (If 24. Bxd3, then all heck breaks loose: 24...cxd3 25. Qd2 dxe2 26. Qxe2 Nxf4 and black is up a couple pieces.)

Oct-03-14  sorokahdeen: Almost looks white resigned in disgust. After playing the way he did and missing the things he did, I'd pretty much want to get up and away from the board ASAP.
Jun-13-16  posoo: loloolo when u have four nottable gams and two of them are draughs and one is a win against VAN WOLUS then u are asking for SEVEAR PITY
