Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-26-06  bitko: Reti displays an excellent tehnique. Some moves in the latter part gives impression of Capa, while the opening is hypermodern.
Dec-15-15  Retireborn: In the tournament book Larry Evans writes "Not 49.R5xa6? Nxa6 50.Rxa6 c3 and Black wins" but continuing with 51.Bb1 c2 52.Bxc2 Rxc2 53.Rxd6 Rcc3 54.Kg4 Rxe3 55.Kf5 & 56.Kxe5 reaches a fascinating and unclear endgame - maybe Black does win but I'm not sure how.

Reti was quite lucky that Kmoch missed 33...Ra8; and 38...Nc5 was a blunder when 38...Nf6 would have kept reasonable drawing chances.

<Retireborn>,
Very interesting ending indeed - R + R v R + PPP. I also think Black wins - he will capture the e4 pawn, and White will find it impossible to promote either the d or f pawns.

Sep-19-19  Retireborn: <Graham> I'd completely forgotten this game! Will look at it again.
