Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-03-03  Rookpawn: The two names are quite a mouthful...
Jun-04-03  caseyclyde: How’d you like to be the announcer who introduced them? If instead of throwing away the bishop with 31…bd7, black tried either rook to d2 to block the mate, the white can simply trade rooks with 32. rxd2, 32… rxd2, then play rxh7 threatening mate. After a meaningless check or two with the black rook, black has to run the king to e8 and now white wins the black rook with checks on h8 and d8.
Dec-18-15  jerseybob: The battle of the Russian Hyphenates: Rimsky-Korsakov vs. Ippolotov-Ivanov.
Feb-14-19  laskereshevsky: will they have the business cards exchanged moment before the game ?!
