Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-14-02  ramachess1: I do believe that once white's dark square bishop is off the board with black's dragon bishop still on the board , whire cannot win the match by attacking black's king ,since the most important square ,h6 and the 'h' file is adeqately guarded e.g Qxh7+ Kf8. And now white cannot continue his attack ,since the h8 square is guarded. Elimination of the dragon bishop by sacrificing one of the rooks is very cumbersome and time - consuming .And don't forget that Black too is positioned to attack the white's king.
Aug-14-02  bishop: ramachess, I agree with what you are saying but here is one exception to that Fischer vs Gligoric, 1959
May-19-04  dosen: <bishop> but in this game -fisher vs gligoric, 1959- black gave his dark square bishop to white's knight so he did not control the h8 square and black king was on attack.
