offramp: The black pawn on g3 is as strong as a piece; black could have used it to give quite a pretty mate, 36...Rb3 37.Qc4 Rxe3 38.Bxe3 Rh1+ 39.Bg1 Qf2#
Aug-02-05  schnarre: White started off okay, but I think too many exchanges hurt. Most times I've encountered 1...h5, it follows 2. c4 with most often 2...g6 or 2...Nf6 following.
Feb-02-06  McCool: Never seen this opening played before.
Feb-07-06  schnarre: <McCool> Which one: White or Black (or both)?
Mar-26-06  McCool: Both seem odd.

  OBIT: Expanding on <offramp's> comment: After 36...Rb3! 37. Qd4 (<offramp> analyzes 37. Qc4 Rxe3!) Qa6+ 38. Kg1 Qe2! 39. Be1 (or 39. Rf1 Rh1+ 40. Kxh1 Qxf1#) Rh1+ 40. Kxh1 Qf1#

FSR: Surprising that 1.a3 h5!! hasn't been seen since. Of course that could be because players have abjured 1.a3 in light of 1...h5!!'s strength.
