Dec-27-10  YoungEd: 8. ..♘xf2+ turns out to be a howler, but how many of us would have seen 9. ♘xd6+? Not me! I probably would have eaten the ♘ on f2.

  GrahamClayton: 8...♕b6 9.♖e4 ♕b5 10.♕d6 ♕d7 seems a lot safer for Black.

Interesting variation by Tate - a combination of the Open and 3.♗b5 Closed Sicilian. Is it his own invention?

FSR: <GrahamClayton> 4.Bb5+ has been played before, but this is the only game in the database with 5.Nxd4. Opening Explorer It's no great shakes if you ask me (5...Bxb5 6.Nxb5 a6 7.N moves Nf6), though it certainly worked like a charm in this game.
