Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-23-04  rover: A very nice attack by black. He works systematically to expose white's king and just when he tries to escape to safety Nxc5 assures the success of black's plan.

Qxh2+ is a very intersting move. On Kxg4 Qxg2+ then Kf5 is met by Rc5+ Be5 Qg6 mate and Kh5 Qh3 mate. But I don't see a win after Kxg4 Qxg2+ Kh4.

Black can win by 32...g5+, eg:

33. ♔h5 ♕h3#

33. fg5 hg5+ 34. ♔h5 ♕h3+ 35. ♔g5 ♖c5+, and now:

36. ♔f6 ♕h6+ 37. ♔e7 ♖c7+ 38. ♔d8 ♕d6+ 39. ♔e8 ♕e7#
