Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-27-03  coke934: Capablanca shows how to uses the pawns side by side there, great learning game.
Oct-21-03  Whitehat1963: Capablanca was only 13 years old here!
Oct-27-04  morphy234: Capa's opponent could've resigned on move 23 already. no need to keep playing.
Oct-27-04  who: it is strange that capa played 3...nf6, when it is known to create lots of problems. I guess capa was never a bookworm on openings, not even in his childhood.
Oct-27-04  acirce: What? 3..Nf6 is a perfectly normal and good move.
Oct-27-04  morphy234: Yeah! I love Two Knights defense!! Play it every chance I get...
Jul-29-07  amuralid: Capa seems to have blundered with 31. ... g5
Jul-29-07  syracrophy: <amuralid> It's not a blunder. Just look at the shaming position of the rook: it will never escape from his prison of h6! The bishop of g5 has the tough job of protecting the rook, while the black queenside pawns go on their march to promote.

In fact, 31...g5 deserves a "!"

Jul-30-07  Karpova: Yes, 31...g5 is a very beautiful move!
Aug-04-07  amuralid: <syracrophy> I emant blunder in the sense that the b and c pawn roll would have worked out just fine even without g5. You may feel g5 is good because black already has a won position. There is no need to limit the white rook in this position.
Dec-25-09  guitarplayer: How come when I log in, I can't see the moves on the chess board the way I used too. By clicking on a game by capablanca I used to able to play out the moves. What's the problem?
Oct-09-10  morphy2010: What a win, smooth as a babys bottom

GrahamClayton: The final moves are a great example of how poor a piece a knight is when trying to stop passed pawns.
