Feb-22-04  d4Nf6Bg5: shouldn't it be Qf2#?
Sep-13-06  HoopDreams: what are you supposed to play after Qf3 in the traxler? Rf8 mby then what...
Sep-14-06  sneaky pete: 8.Qf1? Rf8 9.d3 Nd6 10.Nxd6+ cxd6 11.Qe2 Nd4 12.Qd2 Qg4 0-1 NN vs Traxler, Piska 1922. After 8.Qf3? Rf8 white is lost: 9.d3 Nd6 as in the Traxler game; 9.Nc3 Nxc3 ; 9.g3 Nxg3 10.hxg3 Qxc4 may be best, but not good enough to save the game. Apparently 8.g3 Nxg3 9.Nxh8 .. with a probable draw is forced.

Against 8.Qf3 .. Estrin recommends 8... Nd4 and mentions 8... Rf8 9.g3 Nxg3 10.Qxg3 Qxc4 as played by NN in a simul against GM Taimanov in 1956.
