tpstar: The Ruy Lopez Exchange with d3 is a solid positional approach, keeping the center quiet until Black castles whichever way; of course, ... 0-0-0 is more fun. But I believe White's Knights should be connected = Be3 & Nbd2 since the Bg4 pin is hard to break without wrecking the Kingside. I like 5 ... Bg4 6. d3 f6 and not 6 ... Bd6 which congests the center.

jefferylau-tpstar (QueenAlice 8/18/05): 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 a6 4. Bxc6 dxc6 5. 0-0 Bg4 6. Nc3!? f6 7. d3 Qd7 8. Be3 0-0-0 9. h3 Bh5 10. g4!? Bf7 11. Qd2 h5 12. Nh2 hg 13. Rfd1? gh 14.
