Jun-26-15  TheFocus: Sid Pickard's book <The Games of Wilhelm Steinitz> has his game ending at move 56.b7.
Jun-26-15  thomastonk: The "Brooklyn Chess Chronicle", vol. 1, 1882/83, p 46 has 59 "KtxR" as final move.

"The North American" (<Philadelphia, Pennsylvania>), the "Daily Evening Bulletin" (San Francisco, California) and the "St. Louis Globe-Democrat" (St. Louis, Missouri), all of November 22, 1882 report that Martinez resigned at the 59th move.
