Jul-23-04  get Reti: The opening is wrong.
Aug-27-04  TheGreatNN: How? Could you give the analysis?
Aug-27-04  sneaky pete: The heading <English, Caro-Kann Defensive System> is nonsense. In the civilized world white's initial moves are known as Reti Opening or Reti System. Black's defence brings the Grunfeld to mind, certainly not the Caro-Kann.
Sep-16-04  TheGreatNN: Yeah, that's true; I thought he meant it was played badly. I wonder how it got labeled that way, especially when black never even played ..c6 the whole game.
Sep-16-04  Knezh: By move 10 Reti is 4 tempi ahead. It seems that 6. ..Be6 is an inaccuracy, i suggest 6. ..c6
Jun-01-11  TheRavenPK: I think Réti had the beautiful shot 31.Bb7! in mind already at move 26.f5. He was also prepared for those three checks, when foresaw that the g-file will be still opened to deliver checkmate (in the variation 31.Bb7 Bxb7 32.Qh5+ Kg7 33.Rg1#). I think Richard Réti was one of the most talented chess players ever. Many of his beautiful wins and moves came out of his studies, his openings. He was winning chess games with a great style, maybe even greater than Mikhail Tal.
Feb-16-13  Shams: Surely 9.bxc3 is better!?
Dec-24-13  Poisonpawns: I think Black is better after 27..Nc4! on the way to d3 square. Black simply over estimated his chances and played a few "over confident" moves.Like 27..Bf4+?; why drive the King to a desirable square? Reti should have played Kh1! but I think White is in trouble after 27..Nc4

Domdaniel: Reti played the Reti here. The Zukertort appellation is absurd.
