Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-07-24  Stolzenberg: <10. Re1> and <12. Bd2>: The opening resembles the Queen's Gambit Declined Semi-Slav (D46), Bogoljubow Variation (with ... Be7), where the rook rather belongs to d1 and the bishop to g5.

On the other hand <11. ... Re8> was not yet necessary. Black can play 11. ... Bb7 at once, and does not need to be afraid of 12. Neg5, for example 12. ... c5 13. d5 exd5 14. Qxe7 Rae8 15. Bxh7+ Nxh7 16. Qxe8 Rxe8 17. Rxe8+ Nhf8 with 2 rooks vs. queen and opposite coloured bishops.

Jan-07-24  Stolzenberg: <24. Re4 Nf6 25. Re2> attack and retreat, as White did not like 25. Rxd4 Red8 26. Bc3 Rxd4 27. Bxd4 Rd8 28. Bxf6 Rxd3 29. Bb2 Rd2.
Jan-07-24  Stolzenberg: <33. ... e4>: Why is this a draw? With the 2 strong pawns in the center Black's prospects look promising, don't they? For example 34. Rf1+ Kg8 35. Ref2 exd3 36. Rf7 d2 37. Bxd2 Rf8
