Honza Cervenka: Wow, who can say that women play boring chess? This was very tense battle with mutual chances. White's 34.Rc7 was quite optimistic and could have cost her a game but young Maia went astray (probably in time pressure) with 35...Ne2+?! instead of 35...fxg2! with ugly threat 36...Nxe4! 37.Nxe4 Qf4 38.Nf2 Qxb4

In final position white is going to win Pe2 and after that the advantage should be sufficient for win. I guess that the game was adjourned there and that black decided to resign after home analysis as the position, though arguably bad, is not so evidently resignable.
