dernier loup de T: The veritables mistakes begin at move 53, when both players begin to err; Tartatakover was of course just joking with the words when he said tat the last but one mistake is winning a game ;its not always "enough", LOL: see Spassky vs Portisch, 13th game of their match in 1977); but here it's "half true": after 55.Rb3? By Mackenzie (55.Kd4!) Lipschutz could win by 55..Kg4 bringing the king to the victory via the case f4; Lipschutz was to much concerned with letting immediately way to his "g" pawn" for pushing it forwards; he had to crush the white "f3" pawn before an other consideration... very instructive endgame!!
May-25-20  Straclonoor: <By Mackenzie (55.Kd4!) Lipschutz could win by 55..Kg4 bringing the king to the victory via the case f4> If you meant 55....Kg5 it's true - this move won.
