Oct-13-20  Cheapo by the Dozen: Nice game. What's cool about it is the lively movement of the pieces, and the interference which brings the game to a sudden end.

Both players were Czech. The interference can be said to have "checked" the movement. The movement can be said to have been "traffic". Hence:

Czech Traffic

Oct-14-20  spingo: If the pun is based on the phrase "check traffic", then I have never heard of such a phrase. I suppose one wakes up in the morning and says, "I must check traffic."

It could be a banking expression... "There has been a huge amount of cheque traffic today - get some more printed." I think that must be it.

Oct-14-20  Cheapo by the Dozen: Oh, come on. You always check before merging into traffic. And you check in both directions before crossing a street.

Or, if you don't, I never want to travel with you. :)

Oct-14-20  AlicesKnight: <Cheapo> - yes, the block by 31.Ne5 is neat, highlighting the removal of the black Q from the defence area. Of note also the bounce-back moves of the black Q and R (moves 20-12, 24-26) effectively costing tempi.
Oct-14-20  morfishine: Nice quality of game choice <Cheapo>, really enjoyable to play through! (though the game title looks like an accident waiting to happen - lol)

Honza Cervenka: Black started to drift towards loss with 27...a6?! and 28...b5? Instead of 29...Na4 it was a bit better to play 29...Qe7 but it is already clearly better for white after simple 30.Qxh6. Of course, 30...Qa1 loses instantly but the game was already bad for black, for example 30...e5 31.Rxh6 Qxh6 32.Qxh6 Bxg4 33.Qxa6 Bxf3 34.Qe6+ Kh8 35.gxf3 with huge advantage of white.
Oct-14-20  morfishine: <Honza Cervenka> Nice piece of analysis here, really good!
