tpstar: <azaris> Beautiful game. I agree about happily facing c4-c5 as Black in a Triangle Defense set-up, because ... e5 equalizes so easily. Beyond that, White has trouble generating much action the Queenside whereas the open lines on the Kingside lead straight to White's King. I play Caro-Kann Panov-Botvinnik as White and never liked those c4-c5 lines there either.

White's Queenside pieces were no help. Good job.

Oct-28-05  euripides: 34 Qd3 is spectacular, but the prosaic Qe1 seems more probable.

tpstar: ChessBase 8.0 confirms 34. Qd3 yet I agree with <euripides> that 34. Qe1 is the only move since White recaptured 35. Qxf1.

Fine endgame by Black.
